Good morning,

We have received Approval from the Peace Officer Program to continue to offer our EVOC training while our Accreditation package is under review. After 16 years of teaching the previous curriculum, a complete rewrite was completed after new research into the latest technology, statistics and best practices for the Accreditation process. The new curriculum has been submitted for review and sees a number of new exercises added to the program including a new student manual, PowerPoints and Case Study reviews. There are now 14 driving exercises over a 4 day period including an optional 4 hour nighttime handling course and emergency response course which will run the evening of the last day after completion of the basic 40 hour course.

This course meets all requirements and is authorized to obtain Primary Highway authority and Emergency Response authority for CPOs under S. 24.13 of the Public Safety Peace Officer Program Policy and Procedures Manual (2023).

With the addition of multiple new exercises, the class sizes will be limited to 12 students to allow for maximum driving time and repetitions.

Legal Requirements
Vehicle Dynamics
Braking
Cornering
Driving Emergencies
Emergency Response Driving
Nighttime Response Driving

The following dates have been set for training in Claresholm, Alberta.

May 4-7, 2024
July 19-22, 2024
August 22-25, 2024
