The Municipality of Jasper is seeking self-motivated individuals with strong initiative, excellent interpersonal and public relations skills to join our Protective Services team. You will be responsible for providing public educations, awareness and enforcement of Municipal By-laws. If not already held, the successful candidate will have the ability and willingness to obtain Community Peace Office Level II status.

As duties include responding to complaints and investigating appropriately, interested individuals with education or knowledge of law enforcement or associated field is an asset. Position duties may include physically demanding aspects therefore applicants must be physically fit to perform all duties of the position. Future succession opportunities may require the ability to pass a Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation (PARE).

Hours of work are 8 hrs/day 40 hours per week. Range of pay is:

Municipal Compliance Officer $24.77 - $27.64 as per current Cupe Local 1458 2019 Wage Grid
Bylaw Enforcement Officer $30.09 - $33.63 as per current Cupe Local 1458 2019 Wage Grid

Pay level is dependent on qualifications and/or Level of Certification(s) and current Cupe Local 1458 2019 Wage Grid. Additionally, a $2:00 shift or weekend premium is payable on eligible hours worked. An excellent benefits package, including pension is offered after the required probationary period.
