WANTED: beta testers for online verbal de-escalation training

Post by Roy_Jensen »

The face-to-face version of Strategic De-escalation was developed in 2017, and has been refined and generalized, and taught to security professionals and peace officers. This is the first foray into online instruction.

Given the ongoing pandemic and the general move to online instruction, we have created an online version of Strategic De-escalation. At this time, I am looking for beta testers to provide feedback on the following:
• What could be added? improved? removed?
• What do you like about the presentation? don't like?
• Is it reasonable to have local trainers conduct the practical/scenario assessments?

Given ongoing global events, there is increasing need for de-escalation training in general.
• What should go into an in-service course for security/law enforcement?
• What could go into an in-service course for civilians (front-line staff, medical personnel, teachers, managers, etc.)?

Please note: the course is 21 hours.
